Hey there! ….Here's my story.
I was introduced to network marketing 12 years ago when I was working full time as a bank teller for and pursuing my passion as a vocalist. I was new to the music industry from a professional standpoint and knew that I wanted to become more heavily involved working with different bands and also decided to put out my own original album in 2007.
I always had the mindset that I was set out to do more than just work the typical 9-5 cubical job. I know it works for most, but it was not working for me.
The music scene actually started to take off pretty quickly for me and I started making pretty good money doing it part time. The struggle with that was… I never knew when the next gig was going to be and unfortunately female vocalists do have a shelf life.
So I ended up moving over to working at a credit union as a “Member Service Representative”. Worked there for a couple years, was still steady with singing and that's when I met my husband and around the same a co-worker of mind introduced me to network marketing.
Between the bank and free lancing with different bands I was learning the typical ins and outs of how to be successful running my own home based business. I made a few sales, hosted a few parties, but it wasn't really taking off the way I thought it would.
I stayed at the credit union for the next 6 years and I just knew I was not fulfilling my purpose in life. The hours, commute, amount of responsibility for the little pay, the boss that felt he ruled over all and the whopping 2 weeks of my very own out of a whole year to do as I wish just wasn't cutting it…I actually grew to despise it.
By this time I had been thinking to myself maybe this whole home biz could really take off if I just put my head down and get to work. I knew I was going to find a way eventually.
Then I got an offer to be the “Account Manager” for this start up company that does buy back for used wireless equipment. This was a completely new field for me, but I was ready to do anything that didn't involve banking. So I gave it a shot.
I actually fell in love with the job, but was not a fan of the the people. I was always walking on eggs shells and there were several power trips taking place in the office that I wanted no part of. Turns out I was actually good at what I was doing. I was able to increase revenue an additional 40K monthly in less than a year. It also helped me sharpen skills I didn't know I had, like giving presentations.
I love to sing, but oh my gosh …I hated talking in front of a group of people. However, the more I did it, the more I started to like it. As I started to find more success with this company I quickly began to realize how similar this job was to what I was looking for in network marketing.
I mean the job description was exactly the same. The only difference was, I was making a salary and not earning residual income. The company took a downward spiral and I was laid off April of 2014. I was actually relieved. As much as I really liked the job and I was making pretty good money… I still knew there was something bigger in store for me. This was just a stepping stone.
At this point I had my son and had been out of the network marketing game for over a year. I decided I was gonna give school a shot. So I went for it and was studying to be a court reporter. It was not bad … I seem to have a knack for it and was staying at the top of the class.
I knew I was going to have to start generating some income from somewhere while attending school, but I wasn't sure how I was going to swing it. My unemployment was coming to an end and now being a wife and a mother of two I could just be an unemployed student.
I was looking on Facebook one day and something came across my page that stopped me in my tracks. I knew I had to find out more about it and reached out to the person who posted about this product. I told myself “I'm not joining this company, I am just going to ask her a couple of questions.” I was signed up before getting off the phone.
I felt more excited this time around like this was my shot to really give it my all. I am going to school, no job, just study and then put my head down and work.
Well it completely took off, 7 months later I had a team of 1500 in 20 countries and had earned $10,000 just in bonuses. This was not including the residuals I was making in my sleep. I finally had a breakthrough!!! This was not the last of them either.
I started to align myself with so many incredible leaders in the industry and became addicted to gaining the knowledge of how to truly create my dream income inside of my business leveraging social media. I fell in love with what I was learning, I started investing in every course possible and discovered a passion for teaching others what I learn.
I always tell people “If I knew 12 years ago what I know now…things would be so different.” But I know I am right where I am supposed to be right now. It took every event in my life to find my breakthrough and now my passion is to truly help network marketers shorten their learning curve, get results and starting earning the income they desire and deserve.
I am now co-heading and amazing community called “The High Impact Academy”. Dedicated to educating entrepreneurs on how to truly tap into education of skill sets and mindset, so they can start taking action in the right direction and know the feeling of actually getting results. I want to invite you to take a deeper look at what I wish I would have found so many years ago. This is where I can pay it forward and help you create a breakthrough in your business.
